FRIDAY, JULY 30TH --Peru & Colombian Independence --- Live from Puerto Rico , Luisito Carrion  live with Orquesta La Tremenda and Salsaley -- this is not just a concert but a very special event in a very special place at El Boqueron 2, 1330 East Gude Drive , Rockville , MD 20850 .  Tickets are $35 at the door --Luisito Carrion was the lead singer for La Sonora Poncena, many of you have danced to him in the clubs without even realizing it!!!  I love his music and I hope you all do too, he is just one tremendous sonero that really makes you want to dance nonstop salsa!!!!!  Schedule is as follows:

Earl and Vianette Silva are teaching classes starting at 8pm . Joe Falero and Latin Jazz All Stars are playing at Opus 88 Lounge at the McLean Hilton in Tysons Corner, beginning around 9:30pm , cover is free!

5. Jeri's Review of the Week:    I had a fun week –awesome music with Carlos Barretto y Los Niches on Friday, July 23 rd at Portales, had a great time at the Peruvian Festival in Arlington on Sunday, July 25 th but was cut short by the storm---the food as really good!  Clarendon Grill WHICH IS CLOSING UNTIL SEPTEMBER was lots of fun on Monday – had a hard time between the two couples competing in bachata---it was a tough decision, I’m glad they both won! Tuesday night at E-citi was incredibly packed—Jackie the waitress is a real sweetheart! A big shout out to Cynthia Hobbs for her 50 th birthday today!!!!
